The early bird.

Waking up just slightly before you need to has a specific advantage: Once you have done your morning chores, gotten ready for your run, made yourself a cup of tea, opened up the balconies, and checked your email, messages, and social media, you still have 15 minutes of really really quiet me-time, in which you needn’t read anything, talk to anyone, or indeed engage in any activity whatsoever. You can just switch off all lights and sit there in the early morning breeze sipping your tea waiting for the clock to turn to the time you need to get on with your day (in my case, wake the little one). That is perhaps the highest quality time you can get, and spend, on yourself, almost like a luxury good you buy just to pamper your ego. Just that this costs no money, and appeals to a part of you that is so much deeper than just your id: your very soul.

A very good morning to you, my friends.
