Heepo-crassy ki bhi Anju hoti hai…

For those who do not know, a simple internet search shall reveal that Anju Bobby George made history when she won the bronze medal in the long jump at the 2003 World Championships in Athletics in Paris. With this achievement, she became the first Indian athlete ever to win a World Championships in Athletics medal, jumping 6.70 metres (22.0 ft).

In the video, she claims that things were so bad and athletes were treated so shabbily back then that she wouldn’t even get a promotion for winning India’s first-ever international medal in athletics.

Do you know who was our honourable Prime Minister in 2003?
Atal Bihari Vajpayee (1998-2004).

Do you know when Anju made this statement on stage?
25 December 2023.

Do you know what was on that day besides Christmas?
Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 99th birth anniversary.

Now tell me: Why are the bhakts celebrating? And who is Narendra Modi laughing at in the video when she mentions this?

Additional Information: Anju is the (not ‘a’, ‘the’) Sr. Vice President at the Athletics Federation of India. What did you really expect her to say?

And yes, while on the topic of sportspersons who have won accolades for India being treated shabbily, or indeed about girls dreaming of being successful sportswomen, has she heard of Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Poghat? No? Maybe she hasn’t yet received the WhatsApp forward about these two. Perhaps she should ask Neeraj, who she mentions as a shining example of New India and who most definitely has much higher moral standards than her, for he sees absolutely no need to lick anyone’s shoes to keep his job.
