A relaxed, fun ride.

Sandeep Uttarwar had his first ride as Marshal (from the Bikers’ Creed India, my motorcycling club in Pune) and he chose to circumnavigate the Pawana lake. Unfortunately, half of the riders who signed up dropped out, leaving us with just 4: Sandeep himself, Sahil Mhaskar, Parth Joshi, and myself.

The temperature was in the low single numbers, and the wind chill did not make it easier for us riders. We found a small bonfire and tea-shack open in the middle of nowhere, where we helped the shack owner to break wood for the fire (the riding boots helped) and took a much-needed pit stop to warm ourselves and chat nine to the dozen like schoolboys on a field trip, after which we went around Pawana in a leisurely manner, taking in the sights, stopping for photographs, and just soaking in the sunrise. It was one of the best rides I have had to date, even if it entailed too little ‘riding’ as such.

It was the biker’s version of Netflix & chill!

On the way – A cold, cold morning!

The three musketeers – Sandeep, Sahil, Parth. I am the photographer.

That’s me. And BattleCat III.
