A smooth operator.

Smooth operator.

I had my first shave when I joined the Air Wing NCC in 1989. I was 17. Since then, I have intermittently shaved, and kept different types of moustaches and beards, goatees, sideburns and so on. Lately, though, I just let the facial hair grow until it is time for the monthly haircut and then, get it clean-shaven. This Father’s Day, my 6yo (with some help from her mum) got me a Bombay Shaving Company‘s kit, containing pre- and post-shave lotions (balms?), a nice brush, and shaving cream, all of which came in a nice zipped bag.

I let it lie for some time (Father’s Day was 20 June) and today, suddenly decided that I need to take it out and use it. I wasn’t bold enough to use the balms and lotions, but I did use the brush and cream, shaved nicely with a Gillette razor, and splashed some Old Spice after-shave on. It was smooth AF, to be totally honest.

Here’s what I think: The BSC’s shaving cream is one of the best I have ever used, and I have lived and worked in Dubai (UAE), Adelaide (Australia), Hong Kong (China), Boston (USA), and London (UK), enjoyed shaves in each of these places, and bought various kinds of exotic and standard shaving products from around the world. Take a bow, BSC. You made my morning better today, you smooth operators!
