Too extreme for Savarkar?

Just your friendly reminder that this whole Taj Mahal bullshit‘s originator, a certain P N Oak, was a family acquaintance of my grandfather, himself a hardcore Hindutvawadi with deep ties to the RSS founders, VHP, Jan Sangh etc, and even then, in those days, by those people (hardcore Hindutvawadis in his group) this Oak chap and his crackpot theories were considered laughable and worth dismissing with a wave of their hands and a little snigger. He was looked upon as the village idiot. And ignored for being far too left of the field (or right, if you know what I mean).

Indeed, I have started to think that today’s India has become so stupid that the Hindutvavadis of my grandfather’s time would probably shake their heads in disbelief were I to put them in a time machine and bring them to 2022. In a manner of speaking, we have honestly become too extreme for Savarkar.

We really have lost the plot. And our collective minds.

P.S: The exact word used to describe him by my grandfather was, if I remember correctly, ‘चक्रम’
