A witty perspective to history.

I was talking to a friend about a book I am reading which gives the account of a key campaign during the 19th-century Anglo-Maratha wars from a non-ethnocentric, and hence, a fresh perspective.

This person is a wit and I expected something funny but profound to come out of his mouth. Sure enough, he quips, “But do the Marathas win in this perspective?”

Touché!
