When Americans and Trump finally finish with each other, the USA is going go so left so fast, the world will get whiplash just keeping up.
What a tragic time for those who still consider it the world’s greatest country.
This is what aviation calls Pilot-Induced Oscillation (PIO)—when a pilot, trying to correct a deviation, overcompensates. Then overcorrects again. And again. The aircraft lurches violently, swinging from one extreme to another, until either control is regained or catastrophe strikes.
The only saving grace in such a scenario? Altitude.
If the aircraft has enough height, the pilot has time. Time to stabilise. Time to level out. If not? The result is disaster—for the pilot, the aircraft, and anyone unfortunate enough to be in the vicinity.
The USA is in PIO mode. The swing is inevitable. The overcorrection is already underway. The only question now: Does it have enough altitude left to get straight and level?
Time, as always, will tell.
