And for the next act…

Ah, here we go again. The unparalleled moral compass of the modern world (also known as the American soft power machine) has truly outdone itself. Academia, media, government, influencers, social media platforms, businesses, banks, Hollywood, and every tentacle of this imperialistic octopus will now convene to deliver yet another masterclass in mental callisthenics.

This is the same machine that recently taught us:
~ Asking to pause the leisurely weekend activity of murdering children, bombing hospitals, and slaughtering civilians? Anti-semitic.
~ Requesting that ‘the most moral democracy in the Middle East’ not poison aqueducts, rocket babies, or shoot down fleeing women? Of course, anti-semitic.
~ Pleading that doctors not be kidnapped, UN workers not be killed, and the Geneva Convention on collective punishments actually be respected? Did you not hear me the first time? ANTI. SEMITIC.

But wait. Do not worry. They will soon explain to us, with their trademark sanctimony, why this ‘gesture’ (along with whatever Orwellian reality they are peddling this week) is not.

Brace yourselves for the think pieces, the Twitter threads, the “balanced” op-eds, the primetime news panels, the solemn award-winning documentaries, and, of course, the celebrity-laden charity events. All designed to assure you, dear citizen of the world, that black is white, down is up, and hypocrisy is actually the highest form of virtue.

So, get ready. The narrative washing machine is spinning at full speed. And no doubt, it will come out smelling like freedom.
