The Bear Family 🐻 has a tradition of spending time together every Children’s Day. This year, we chose to spend the entire morning and afternoon at the Seasons Mall in Hadapsar, Pune, and see the new movie ‘The Marvels’ (at the end of the movie, when Baba Bear said, loudly enough for everyone to hear him, ‘All right, Kamala, sorry, Kymaia, let’s go’ to us, we were rather tickled at the thought) at Cinepolis VIP, have an unusually large tub of cheese-caramel mixed popcorn, a samosa, and a small Fanta while absorbed in the film, then visit Time Zone to play video games (and also some that involved basketballs), followed by momos and ramen at Crazy Noodles, topping it all with a ice cream at Becky Bee’s.
We took a lot of photos, used Mamma Bear’s UPI (we love scanning the QR Code and putting in the PIN), competed with Baba Bear to dunk baskets, went a little crazy in the toy store (we earned points playing different games, and could spend them to buy utterly useless stuff in their shop), and attempted to solve the puzzle given by Crazy Noodles people (to win a free drink) using pen and paper instead of GPT-4 (Baba Bear’s suggestion, which was ignored).
And now, we are dozing away in the car on the drive home, unable to keep our eyes open after all the fun! Happy Birthday, Chacha Nehru.
P.S.: We were asked to give feedback, something Mamma Bear is rather adept at (as much as she is honest, sometimes brutally so). We proved that the apple did not fall far from the tree by writing one single line that said everything we had to, in devastating simplicity, and probably broke the chef’s heart in two! Well, like Mamma, like daughter.
