Remember Blake Lemoine? He’s the Google engineer who got fired for claiming that AI has reached singularity and is now sentient.
This is his Twitter handle.
And this is him in the above image. In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more meme-worthy image, given the context.
So, now here’s a question: If there was a universe in which a supervillain backstory began with an engineer at the world’s premier tech company realising that AI has become sentient, and he was mocked and laughed at, and the company (and the world), ignoring his warnings, went right ahead and implemented it, and then everything went to shit, and the company (and, of course, the US Marines, on orders of the POTUS) tried stopping it in vain, except that this engineer had learnt to control it and was now in charge of the world, but because society had ridiculed and humiliated him when all he wanted was to prove himself, he proceeded to burn it all down, or at least attempt to, until stopped by Batman (or maybe Spiderman), who realised that all that the villain wanted was validation and that it was this AI that was providing him with that and then, defeated him by convincing him that the AI does not actually love him, then would you find a better character than this to play that engineer-turned-supervillain?
P.S: This is just a fun post and not meant to mock Blake or Google or anyone’s appearance or physical or mental disability. Please take it as a piece of humour and if you do not approve, move on and read something else.
