Hello, HomeSchoolers,
Do you ever wonder why homeschooling is not more popular in India despite government encouragement (unlike other countries, homeschooling is more or less left to the parents while the government has created the NIOS to help these children get certified), enlightened parents (India has a rare combination of educated and well-to-do homeschooling parents who are both passionate and involved), and easy access to resources (the internet has much material to learn from without fees even as books and learning aids are cheap and widely available in India)?
Do you want to encourage more parents to take the leap and homeschool their children?
Do you wish you could do something about it?
Well, you are in luck.
A friend of mine, Dr Aniruddha Malpani (himself an avid reader, internet influencer, and keenly interested in children’s education) wants to speak to young homeschoolers who are willing to become brand ambassadors and evangelists of homeschooling in India.
He will fund experiments by giving grants of Rs.1 lakh to homeschooling students (via their parents) so they can evangelise the concept in public using technology and social media.
He wants parents and teenagers who are tech-savvy, on social media, and willing to put themselves out there to encourage other parents and children to adopt and adapt this method of educating our future generations.
Get in touch with him for further information.
