The Russo-Ukraine conflict and the international system.

Duniyaa meri jeb mein!

While I am firm in my belief that India remains neutral and non-aligned in its stance and approach to the Ukraine-Russia conflict, I am seized by the way the American side has managed to weave the narrative and impose itself using commercial enterprises and the international system.

What I mean is that while the American military or government can very well work against the Russian, even declare war if they so wish, how powerful are they to be able to control private enterprises, whether Coke and Apple or Facebook and Amazon or Visa and Mastercard or Eurovision and FIFA and force them without actually forcing them explicitly to boycott and sanction Russia through limiting their products and services, even when there is no direction for this from the UN and no formal declaration of war. And to think the Americans went to war with Japan not even a century ago for not declaring a formal state of war before commencing hostilities at Pearl Harbour.

What I want to say is that the international system should not be so easily controllable by one country. It is scary and I wonder what else they can do and are doing to other, weaker nations.
