A wet day to race.

Race 6, and we woke up to a wet day. Our cousin, Raavi, is staying with us, and she came along too, surprising us with a flag she had made to cheer us up. The timing was not too good because, for one, we have never run in the rain (it wasn’t really raining, but more like a drizzle) on wet roads and secondly, the route was very dark at the start. But we carried on. Another thing troubling us was the rainproof jacket and cap, both unnecessary for they were making us feel too hot, and there wasn’t enough rain to justify either of them. It was going badly until Mamma bear pointed out that we looked uncomfortable and hot, and at the last leg, he took them off. It was a huge relief, like a weight being lifted off our shoulders. And then, we had good timing in the last 3km. But since the previous 7km had spoilt it all, we could not make up much. Anyway, lesson learnt. The cap and the jacket have to go the next time.
