Walk man. Run girl.

We had a set of challenges: To run 10k in less than 1h:30m (without pacers), to read Alice in Wonderland, and to hold the arch for 30 seconds and the plank for 60 seconds.

The prize was a music player with our favourite singers: Piper Rockelle, Taylor Swift, Idina Menzel, Alan Walker, Meghan Trainor, Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Katy Perry, Camila Cabello, and Jenna Davis (Baba does not know any except Maroon 5 and Ed Sheeran in that list) to listen to while running, like how all the athletes who train at the racecourse do. After all, if we are a real athlete, we too must have what real athletes use, right?

About 15 days back, we held the arch for 45 seconds and the plank for 100 seconds (and have been doing so every day ever since). Then, last week, we did the 10km in 1h:28m. And, yesterday, we finished Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and started on Through the Looking Glass.

As you must have guessed, we present to you, ladies and gentlemen, our first-ever personal music player, pre-loaded with 289 songs (Baba bear is a silly bear and did not have the patience to sit with us and actually select the songs; so he just bought every song by these singers he could find on Apple Music), filling its 4GB memory up to 80%, with a small bit left for later. This thing is easy to load music into, has noise-cancellation at the click of a button as well as various modes for repeating and shuffling songs and albums, is waterproof up to 2m, has a one-year warranty, fits us like a charm, and can play really loud music right into our ears (something Baba has immediately banned because it will damage our eardrums…what a spoilsport!). More importantly, it is not our Christmas present. Yes, we immediately got this part clarified since we would like something separately for Christmas, given that this is not so much a gift, but a prize we have won.

Funny coincidence, though: Baba bear’s first personal music player as a kid was a Sony Walkman too! Except he said it took only cassettes (whatever they are) and needed constant changing of batteries.

So, here we are, all smiles, with the perfect gift for all music-loving Baby bears who like to run.

P.S: There’s only one small thing we’d like to ask Sony though. Would it actually have killed you to put some girls playing sports on the box instead of two boys?
