What’re you going to do? Sue me?

Do you know how you can file a complaint against a lawyer? No, then read this.

Just an extract of the FIRST of EIGHT steps (emphasis mine) as enunciated by the Bar Council of Delhi (Each state has its own): “A complaint against a lawyer has to be in the form of a plaint which shall specify the complete details of the lawyer (against whom the complaint is made) such as the name, address, phone number, enrollment number of the advocate and any other detail that shall be required by the procedure of the state council with a colour photograph of the person complaining on the front page of all 35 copies. After which the 35 copies including the original plaint after verification by the complainant by signing each and every copy on the last page is to be submitted.”

Just how well-connected, well-heeled, and time-wealthy must one be to be able to have the money, time, and effort to go through this?

This is how they use the law to protect themselves. Ditto sitting members of elected bodies, bureaucrats, and petty officials everywhere. They all want immunity from their actions, AND of course, get paid for it too! And we civilians are such idiots to believe that these people will help deliver justice.
