And finally, the haircut happened. Our favourite hairdresser came home, brought us chocolates and a 2×2 Rubik’s Cube, showed us three options (all chosen by Mama and Baba Bear) of which we chose one, and then gently went to work on our tresses as we sat on a bright green chair in the breezy balcony, eating chocolate and solving the Cube.
Can’t say it wasn’t fun, because, at the end of that, we got new running shoes (white, if you must know), a new whatever-it’s-called (it’s a kind of shorts but it has cross-belts and you wear a t-shirt underneath; and yes, we wore it immediately after), a string of lights with cardboard foldable enclosures that Masi and I will assemble next week (Yay! Science project), and 40 minutes of TV (that’s two episodes of ‘Sophia The First’, which according to Baba is a brain-dead, time-wasting program, but sometimes, it’s OK to do stuff that just feels good).
As to what we think we look like, who cares. Baba says this hair will itch less after running. So, that’s a plus.
Ah yes, we know you want to know how it turned out. So, here’s how it started, and here’s how it ended. All in a row.
Presenting: The New Kymaia. Same as The Old Kymaia. But not really the same.
