Growing up.

If the person whom you considered an amazingly original thinker hasn’t yet turned out to be a plagiarist; if the person you thought to be the epitome of the honest, upright, law-abiding citizen didn’t turn out to be gaming the system; if the friend/partner you implicitly trusted hasn’t backstabbed you when you least expected it; if the businessperson you looked up to hasn’t yet turned out to be a monster who doesn’t care about anything that stands between them and fame, power, and money; if the sportsperson you wished you could be like has not been outed as a cheater; if the actor and superstar you were awestruck by hasn’t yet displayed their feet of clay and a childishly insecure heart; if your heroes haven’t either died or turned into villains of the first order, you really have a lot of growing up left to do.
